Hey! This Emily Heafner!
I’m a photographer, teacher, and mom to three wild, wonderful boys—so life is rarely quiet and never short on inspiration. I fell in love with photography because it lets me hold onto the fleeting: a quick glance, a burst of laughter, a moment you didn’t realize mattered until it passed. I’m drawn to storytelling in its most honest form, capturing your real life moments!
Why I do this
I do this to freeze time, even just for a second. Because the real, everyday moments—the messy, joyful, in-between ones—are the ones worth remembering most.
How I work
I approach every session with a mix of gentle guidance and lots of room to just be. I’m not here for perfect poses—I’m here for connection, movement, and the moments that unfold naturally. Think less “say cheese” and more laughter, play, and real life, captured as it happens.
Fun Facts about me
I am obsessed with photographing mama's to be- bring on all the maternity shoots. I am an avid Diet Coke drinker, but also love a Diet Pepsi. I'm working to buy tickets for Justin Bieber's come back tour and I will say "cuuuute" entirely too much during your session.
